I will avoid the theoretical stuff. But how did you measure the pressure when you got home? You lose tire pressure once hooking up to a stand pump w/gauge. I'm a co2 newb, so I sacrificed a couple walmart 12g cartridges. I was getting 80psi at the gauge but lose about 10 psi just connecting the pump. This was with 25mm tires.
