This is on a walmart bike I'm fixing up just because I can. It has the old school style post where the clamp is a separate piece. I loosened up the collar last night to remove the post and next thing I know its dropped all the way to the bottom of the seat tube. There's about 3 or 4 inches from the top of the seat tube to the top of the seat post. I flipped the bike upside down to shake it out. No good. I dropped the bike lightly to try to tap it out. No good. I beat the bike on a rug on my garage floor (see reference to walmart bike). Also no good.

So now what? Do I just leave it there and get a different post?
