According to the OP, that would somehow present a far lesser risk.
Obviously you haven't been paying attention. Please concentrate on this statement:

At a glance, a stopped automobile in the lane could be assumed to be traveling at highway speeds if the closing distance were not noticed. I would say an automobile has seconds left of remaining undamaged when stopped in the travel lane.

There is NEVER a time when a bicycle would be presumed to be traveling at highway speeds by a motorist. Or do you dispute that statement?

At a glance, the distinctive profile of a cyclist, a grandfather clock, a couch or a family having a picnic in a travel lane would not be dismissed, but would immediately alarm the motorist that there is a hazard in his path. His attention would be instantly focused on operating his vehicle. His distraction is put off until later.

Either you are stupid, ghettocruiser, (Which I doubt.) or you are a slanderer who deliberately distorted my position.. Which is it?
