I've had good luck w/ Performance bike shops. I have the house brand Cat-1 Stelvio for $100. They feature CF soles, a micro adjust buckle and accept both 2 hole (SPD) and 3 hole (SPD-SL & other) cleats.
They are wide enough for my feet, they provide better comfort than the Shimano MTB shoes I was using.
