Yeah, I forgot to mention sprinklers. Anywhere that is green in arid regions should be considered suspect. You really don't want to wake at 2 am because the sprinkler next to (or under) your tent came on.
Last summer, at a town park we camped in, in a small Colorado town, the grass looked soft and inviting; but the sprinklers came on at 11pm, 1am and 5am. Good thing our tent is very weatherproof. We still have a laugh over that one!
