Bikes: mid '90s Fisher HooKooEKoo

New guy saying hi

I found your forums just recently, and I wanted to say 'hi' and a general 'thanks' for lots of good info I've been reading here since then.

I started riding my bike to work a few weeks ago, and it might be the best thing I've done in a while- good exercise and a much shorter commute time are pretty decent benefits.

I ride 6 miles each way on a mid 90's Fisher Hoo Koo E Koo (ed: actually a '95 Tassajara. I pulled some tape off!) The ride is getting noticeably easier, which is good, though I'm pretty outta shape. The bike rides on the dusty Armadillos I installed almost seven years ago, when I needed street tires to deal with messengering in Manhattan, but everything seems to be working fine. (Still, I should drop the bike somewhere and get the bearings checked out.)

Anyway, riding again is fun. Thanks again for the wealth of info, guys.
