Can you show they are not exceptions?

Exceptions are certainly expected. Particular examples don't magically characterize the general case. There's an extra burden to argue that examples are typical.

It is "certainly" obvious that there are all sorts of problems with these "studies". Nearly all of these "studies" performed by people campaigning against mandatory helmet laws. They could be designed to produce the desired conclusion.

These kinds of studies are notoriously problematic. (That doesn't mean that they should not be done.)

Note that the death rates are not exactly the "same".
