Nice ride this morning (with the exception of my constantly creeking rr. wheel), good energy and cool. I've had problems with my rr. Mavic Open Pro since it was built about a year ago. It has been serviced, rebuilt and, replaced but continues to creek. Evedently it's the spoke nipples-they work themselves loose and the threads creek. It's almost unbearable but, it beats driving or taking Metro. I've got a pair of Deep V's in yellow on order, hopefully the new wheels will be built this or next weekend. Also, treated myself to a new bag for my Birthday. I got the Timbuk2 messenger bag in medium. It's sweet: plenty of room, great internal organization, waterproof, comfortable. It looks like a typical messenger bag but has two straps in a backpack configuration, so it doesn't need constant adjusting. It looks sharp and cycling specific, as opposed to the old Jansport backpack I've used for the last 6+ years. I will miss the old one but I'll still hang on to it for hiking and weekend trips. Looks like nice weather for the rest of the week and, if it holds, I should be able to get the 29er dirty again this weekend. Sweet.
