schwinn superior mods, is it worth it?

hey gang, I am currently riding around a red 1976(73 frame) Schwinn Superior, I got it for a really good deal. Its bone stock, but I got bit by the mod bug again. It has a long list of small things wrong with it, but calculating it out, by the time I upgrade components and finish it, id be looking at $400-$500 total on the bike, including buying the bike. Is it worth it? The frame has no dings or dents, though a bit of the paint has chipped off in common areas(by the chain)

Im asking from a resale perspective. Current planned upgrades

Honey brooks B17
Velo elkhide bar wrap to match the b17
full detail and new decal set from ebay
campagnolo nuovo record derailleur
campagnolo crank (not sure which) w/bottom bracket
campagnolo centuar 2009 cassette
tektro R200A brake levers

and im keeping the original schwinn/weinmann wheelset, huret stem shifters, stem/handlebars.

Im going with the campy stuff since its been proven reliable, but if there are cheaper or smarter alternatives, please let me know But I like the stem shifters, dont tell me to lose them!
