Doesn't sound like you were riding too good before the cast. Think I'd hold off if'n I was you. Aside from the risk of further injury, that cast is gonna smell pretty dang funky after a couple of rides.
Actually besides this last week I had never crashed, one crash was in the rain I just lost the bike and second one may have been lack of control due to pain from first crash in a turn. From what I have seen crashing seems normal, it's why we shave our legs no?
