I can get DT RR1.1 in 20 & 24. They look tough enough. You are right about "strong"; they came with the bike. I would have had them changed by the LBS. The Mavic web site does NOT list the numbers of holes. It just states "Traditional drilling". There is no dealer, email, or contact details. The Alex site is almost as bad; no tab browsing.

The roads here in south London are not too bad. The rims need to be pedestrian proof.

I wish I'd never volunteered my services.
