Write your advertisements in MS Word or some other program and copy the text into the browser. Word will help you with these things and spelling.
I know it seems like a small thing, but writing well is at least as important as taking adequate pictures. In order to maintain sales in a declining market, you're going to have to do something different.
I hate to second this, but I think it's true. It's not right, but people do discriminate based on 'writing proficiency'. It's completely baseless, as there are just as many scheisters who write 'well' as those who don't. But I'd bet that the more successful scheisters write well.
I'm quite sure I've experienced discrimination on this site because of my username. Image is everything.
Back on topic, I've also found the NJ bike resale market to be depressed.
