I am not training for a race, I dunno why I ride so hard, I just want to be fast, fit, and I just like the speed. Being able to maintain a high cadence and average speed under you own power is just......neat.
I think it may be a tad physical, as my diet is really good it could be improved. It DOES feel like drudgery as I catch myself saying "hope it rains so I don't have to go for a ride". I just stand back and go "whoa there big boy, whadda ya say that for?"
I guess I feel as if I don't ride then I am gonna get out of shape and won't be able to do 100km ride, get fat and become a couch potatoe.
I need another sport me thinks. Perhaps kayaking.......oh jeez MORE money.
