Most $200 road bikes are gonna be right around 30 lbs or more unless they need a lot of work. If it's old enough to be $200 it probabaly has unreasonably high gearing. They pretty much all did back then.

They will come with a 40 and a 52 tooth on the front, and the rear probabaly will be a 14-28. Count up what you have now and compare.
