I have the 2008 Race X Lites with about 2,500 miles on them. Not a single problem since I bought them last summer for about the same price including tax through my employee purchase. They were redesigned/overhauled for the 2009 model, such that the hub flanges are reinforced and not prone to explosion (or cracking at the rim) as in the past. Supposedly they use Bontrager branded DT Swiss 240s hubs, which I've found to roll very smooth. I don't mind the paired spokes either; the off-silver rims/hubs and white spokes match my Ridley Excalibur with white accents nicely.
They descend very well, inspiring confidence in sharp turns and at very high-speeds.
At ~1535g, they are light enough for competitive racing without sacrificing strength. I weigh 138 lbs. and don't find them to be flexy.
