It looks pretty identical to the 1996 Campione D'Italia I used to own (except for frame size). Campy Mirage components, Ambrosio rims w/Campy hubs. The only difference I see is the internal routing of the cable in the top tube, so I'm going to guess that this one is a year or two newer (I had a friend with a Veloce- one model up- and it had this cable routing. As for the crossed cables under the down tube- it is a very common practice, as it allows for a gentler curving of the cables from the handlebars to the adjusters. The original stem is probably a TTT, much prettier than the adjustable thing on there now.
