To be honest I didn't do much research when getting my road bike. I guess I just got lucky in picking the right one. I spent literally less than 15 minutes in the shop asking about the bikes before they recommended one to me, haha.
As for what CiaoFun said, that disc actually is the doorknob-stopper. I never thought about using that to protect the handbar wrap... haha
