I had zero issues with a set of 27" Sun AT18 rims I bought from Nashbar, but to tell you the truth I do not recall if I found the ERD from Spocalc, Sun, or Nashbar. I certainly don't remember measuring it myself, however.
The head of a nipple is only ~1.5mm, so ERD is usually NSD (like Mavic uses) +3mm
