For the most part, yeah... =) People can definitely benefit from faster bootup times. The prices of SSDs are coming down, but they're still nowhere near the price of HDDs when counting cents per gig.

It's also worth considering that SSDs get better with each next generation. Sure, read times and startup times are very nice, but they will often lose out when it comes to write performance. The durability factor is a deal breaker for me though -- if only I had the money for a SSD...
