Staying in shape w/o a bike?
Ok I've no way to get my hands on anything with two wheels, be it stationary or even a fixie, and I'm trying to keep myself in shape before the fall when I actually get back to my lovely bike.
I only have access to a running track and I've been running 3 miles every other day with some interspersed 1/4 mile crouch walking binges as well. I've lost some weight in the month or so that I haven't been on my bike which I guess is good, but is simply running often a good way to keep in shape for racing if you don't have your bike nearby, or should I try looking around London for a cheap fixed gear?
