I checked into the Giro US program a few years ago when I broke mine. I don't remember details, but the amount off they gave you vs the hoops you had to jump through were not worth it to me. I could spend less money and have the replacement much quicker by just getting something on sale from one of the online stores rather than waiting on Giro.
