Soma Smoothie vs. Soma Smoothie es
I'm considering getting one of these frames to build up as a commuter bike. My commute is about 20 miles each way. I'm 6'2" and would be looking at to 58 or 60 smoothie and 58 es.
Advantages and disadvantages of each as I see them:
Smoothie:
+ Have parts I can use already
+ Geometry more similar to what I'm used to
- No fenders
- Less comfortable (?)
Smoothie es
+ Fenders
- Less sure about geometry
- Would need to buy new brakes (long reach)
Anybody have anything to offer or am I just yelling into the wind? Thanks.
