You don't know what you're talking about. BB30 is an open standard which is free for everyone to use, and even if it were proprietary, it would be Cannondale's and not Specialized's. It's also a huge improvement over traditional square-tapered and outboard-bearing bottom brackets in terms of stiffness and weight.
