Often I will be talking to someone, and bikes will come up in conversation. Maybe this happens to you too. It seems you've found a friend who is as obsessed with bikes as you. After a few minutes, it will become obvious the other person is referring to motorcycles, while you are referring to real bikes. There is the inevitable awkward moment:

You: "uh.. I was talking about bicycles"
Them: "oh... hmmm"
(long pause)
You: "so... how about this weather we're having?"
