2 bikes, climbing, gear types etc question

A bit complicated.

I have a 2008 Kuota Kom with standard 53-39 gearing. I also have a 2008 Cervelo RS with a compact drivetrain. I use the Cervelo for long climbs as I am still relatively new to cycling, and think I need the lower (easier) gearing available with the compact. However, the KOM is supposed to be a climbing bike, so what do I do to make all this work? At least twice a week I will do a ride that has a section that is 12-15K long with an average of 5-7% on one mountain and 6-8% on the other. I am thinking of replacing the Cervelo RS with the Cervelo R3 by the way. I want the bike to also be fast, which the Kuota KOM is. So, do I suck it up and ride the Kuota on the long mountain rides with the 53-39 and have the R3 with 53-39 as well? I also like doing 100K and 160K rides that I like to do at a strong pace.

Thanks
