I've not seen the "Lance" thread but most LA threads that mention drugs gets pretty testy pretty fast.

There are a few debates about cyclist fatalities where there are some differing opinions but speaking for the other posters as well as, I hope, myself the tone has been pretty respectful.

I used to hang out at some political boards at Lycos et. al. and talk about flaming! Nothing even in the Lounge approaches that.
