Why exactly do you think Lance is going to TT better? He hasn't shown it yet, why would he show it in the later stages of the Tour? Lance has been hanging on. He hasn't attacked yet. He can only cover the subtle moves. The big firepower is gone from his legs. Lance would be trailing Wiggins right now, but for the Team Time Trial. And he would still be behind Nocentini and A. Schleck would be almost even. That's before you adjust for his gains as a result of Columbia splitting up the peloton on that heavy cross winds stage.
Lance hasn't done anything to put time into his rivals without the benefit of a team, Astana or Columbia. Sure those stages count and so do those time gains. But he's been exposed out on the road. Both on the mountains and at the early shorter ITT. In both instances, Lance has lost time. And there's more to come...
Wrong. That million to one shot looks more likely all the time.
