Well that mens health says that you should eat carbs for energy before workout, maybe even a lil meal, and then protein afterwards to build the muscle. I do curls with firelogs every night before bed (ya i should buy some weights), and usually eat a bagel with cream cheese after. Is that like a decent cottage cheese substitute?

So to get more specific, what things are high in protein? cottage cheese is gross for me. bananas?
