I have been riding my GF Presidio on the road primarily so far this summer with a few times on some crushed limestone paths, and have had my rear rim trued once in 300 miles or so. I am a clyde and that plays into it, but for future wheel choice would velocity deep v's be a good choice? I definitely am using this bike for dual purpose right now, and will be until next year when I buy a straight up road bike. My only concern is that the deep v's will be way heavy. Just the assumption I have from listening to everyone's comments on forums. I do really like that I have never heard they are anything less than bomb proof, and with my big ass that puts me at ease to a certain extent. For all I know they might be lighter than the stock bontragers that come on my bike. Just looking for opinions.
