I'm riding in the Tour de Peninsula on August 2, 2009. Their longest route is a metric century. The last TdP attracted 2000+ riders and the routes had plenty of rest stops. This was a lot of fun.
Hey, when did they add a semi-serious, Metric Century route to this? I rode this a couple times back in the late 1990s, and the longest route was 30 pretty darned easy miles. I think I might just do this one, since it starts only a couple miles from my front door and covers some of the roads I ride on Sundays anyway.
