I purchased a barely used Trek T900 on Craigslist and made some upgrades to see if my eight year old and I would enjoy riding single track together. We love it! The bike has been solid and we are able to keep up with the singles(passing some), however as some of you predicted we found the limits of the bike quickly(ground clearance). I recently purchased a 29er single which I find superior to the 26. I'd like a rigid Fandango 29er but I've reached my yearly new bike quota. I found a SunRyno 48 Hole 29er rim and thought of matching it to a Surly rigid fork. Any thoughts on increased ground clearence and possible toe overlap. Thanks
