It's not just matter of tapping the hole, as some people here will tell you. It requres some surgery on the hanger to create a stop. I'll post a picture of mine when I get home from work. It's a lot of work just to mount a derailer that performs worse than the original. The Simplex SLJ Aerodynamic that's on eBay will bolt right on and shift 500% better.
Good to know! Hacking up a frame is not generally my idea of a good time. Can one go the other way, and hack up a derailleur or derailleur mount so it emulates a Simplex? I'd prefer to do that, if it's an option.
