It depends what wheels you have. If they have proprietary spokes (Mavic, Eurus and others) you will not be able to do that. If you have standard spokes you will, but may have to change the spokes due to the different lengths, so really all you'd be saving is the rim. So really you'd be giving up an extra rear wheel to save about $70 or so. If you have carbon rims that you'd like to save, that's a different story.
