"Have a nice holiday" is about the best advice I got from the LBS.

I ordered a new stem with them, they never ordered it because they weren't sure it was for my 1986 bike, or my 2002 bike. Me, knowing what to get for my bike, weren't able to get my bike on holiday because of that and when I came back from holiday (I was stunned) the stem was finally in... They needed three weeks to get it, after I told them what I needed. I'm not happy with them.
