Bionicycle is a combination of Bionic & Bicyclist... About a year before I joined the forum I had my left hip replaced,(ergo the start of my fondness of Mixtes, and step through frames). My wife used to joke and say I was going to be the new Bionic Man, but I used to say.. "no I would be more like the description of Darth Vader.. He's more machine than man now, twisted and evil..." But, somehow the Bionic thing won the day: I could never seem to come up with anything that sounded good using a Darth Vader reference... My doctor says I'm going to need some more metal replacement parts in the not too distant future, so I guess it's a good name for me.
