Sounds like you need the house bike, a Specialized Hardrock Sport. If your local shop doesn't stock Specialized don't sweat it because most will have something comparable. If your not afraid to take on your own repairs and tune ups you could probably pick up a used one on Craigslist for half of what a new one would cost.
