Chainring Spacing on 9 Speed Crank
I'm currently running an older crank (sq taper) with new Sugino chainrings. It was originally designed for a 5 speed freewheel in back, however, I'm now running 9 speed in back.
What distance are the chainrings apart on a 9 speed crank? I have a DA triple (9 Speed) and there are so many ramps and pins that my calipers can't make an accurate measurement.
Also, does anyone know where to find chainring spacers (or washers that would do the trick)?
I'm asking because on a century over the weekend my 9 speed chain got stuck in between my granny and middle ring 30/44. It was a simple fix, but I would like to avoid potential problems for upcoming long rides.
