Spend the $ on Gerd Schraners book "The Art of Wheelbuilding" It is as good as any course you could take and is a valuable resource for wheelbuilders. I still refer to mine every now and again after building conservatively 1500 or so wheels. It has very concise directions with good illustrations and covers far more than you would learn in a course.
