I told my husband when he got his first pair of cycling shorts that he should wear them without underwear. He scoffed and said that he certainly would not be going commando and proceded to hike up his shorts over his usual tighty whities. I just shrugged - he's a big boy and can make his own decisions. After stubbornly going for many uncomfortable rides with underwear under there and actually getting to the point of bleeding, I suggested again that really...they are designed to be worn next to the skin. He finally agreed to give it a shot and now, no more undies.
