Whaddya meant what if? My brother and sister are both car free too. That's why my brother takes the train or a bus. So far, she hasn't done the reverse trip because she has pets, and traveling is hard with pets. My partner's sister doesn't drive, so if she's going somewhere by herself, she takes the bus or walks. (she's crazy and doesn't like to bike) His sister isn't car-free tho, since her fiance has a car.

It's not at all difficult to plan things so a sensible person can get by without a car. The trick is it does take planning.
