I chose to read that as he likes me better than the roadies like me:. . . which is entirely believeable. Roadies have no respect for me: I ride a road bike in DH shoes with Power Grips; my idea of team-kit is when my sweatshirt accidently matches the color of the scabs on my shins; I wear a doo-rag so that the bald patch on the back of my head doesn't sunburn between shuttle runs; and I distrust tires narrower than 2.35.

I don't find it believeable that anyone would knowingly dis Dan the Man.
