I am looking for suggestions for a new bike rack to carry two hybrids. The bike rack will be in a 2 inch receiver on a Grand Cherokee that is being towed by a motor home. I am currently using a very old Thule. The bicycles are usually in a bike bag when on the rack. When in the bag the bikes have a tendency to sway and rock back and forth. Unfortunately today I noticed that the bikes have rubbed together causing significant damage to one.

I have been looking at the Yakima Holdup and the Thule T2. I must be able to open the rear hatch without removing the rack. I also need to slow down the swaying. I am open to looking at different types of racks. The bikes will be towed at a minimum 5k a year. Any suggestions?

We are leaving for Acadia national park tomorrow to ride the carriage trails.
