cshell - Congratulations on getting back into shape... I can't even imagine carrying 175 pounds on my five foot nine frame.
That attitudes of the guys here towards women who don't meet their standards of beauty are pretty typical of a bunch of people who are often completely weight obsessed themselves... mocking anyone for their appearance is the stuff of grade school intellects.
A lot (99.9%) of women aren't ever going to look like the lady in your avatar as for most, starvation is not a preferred option and I don't find girls who look like boys to be all that attractive.
Our societal norms really are all messed up.
The most beautiful women I know are not pixie thin and would not conform to the whacked out societal norms we have... they are curvy... they are also active and healthy which I find to me among the most attractive qualities.
Your wife is probably working an adjusting to the new you and probably finds that it is a double edged sword... if she finds you to be more attractive then other women will find you to be more attractive.
That is understandable.
You are a different person... she has to adjust to that.
You need to dispel any insecurities she has... silly mind games and reverse psychology are not the answer but clear communication is. You may have to repeat yourself a few times or do things to demonstrate how attractive you think she is as actions often speak louder than words.
