I was hit a couple of years ago. It sucks. I was riding my commute and was hit from behind by a guy in a dually. I was knocked unconscious and sustained only minor injuries. Still, it's a scary thing. I've changed my route to avoid the scene of the accident. That helped my psyche a bit, but I'm still skittish. I take a LOT more lane now though. F em. They can wait. My safety is paramount. I'm not moving over until I think it's safe for them to pass.

You need to contact her insurance company. They will pay you for damages to your bike, and likely throw money at you to prevent you from suing. If the driver received a ticket, that's a guaranteed payout. I didn't sue and got a PILE of money from my guy's insurance.

If she didn't receive a ticket, you may have to get a lawyer. You will get paid but it will take longer. Look at this as an opportunity to upgrade!
