go look up shimano rsx 3x7 sti shifters. They'll fit the gearing perfectly to the stock parts on the denali. After you get the shifters, you'll need to get brake and shifting cables and cable housing. If you want to get any other sti shifters, you'll either have to rebuild the rear wheel to a freehub, since the threaded cassette for a 8-9 speed is almost impossible to find.

As for the handle bars, you can just reuse the stock one, but a new dropbar off ebay can be found for around 20 bucks.

Sheldon brown's website, youtube, and the ppl on this site can give you the info you need in order to switch out the parts. The fun part that'll give you some trouble will be adjusting the front and rear derailers and the brakes after you switch out the shifters.
