The tires are made for two separate purposes. You'd be better off comparing the Armdillos to Conti Gatorskins- both made for long training miles and puncture resistance. The GP 4000s are made for racing, but are renowned for outlasting other top racing tires. I use GP4000s for racing and training because they are so much fun :-)
