I er, don't know. I don't have tape handy to measure it. I'm going to assume it's the stem that was originally on the bike waaaaay back when it was manufactured. LBS guy said to bring it in, he said 56cm is still within range of what could fit me, based on my height, my hybrid is 18".

It will probably crush me if it can't be made to work for me. I see all kinds of people riding busted ass old road bikes that I highly doubt they got measured etc before they started riding them. My roommate I bought it off of is quite a bit shorter than I am but a dude so he has longer reach than I do. I want to ride a road bike so very badly it's upsetting to me.
