Depends on the bike, the better complete ones go to a local bike charity, the really bad ones get broken down for parts and the remainder recycled. FWIW about a year ago I could get ~$15-$20 for an aluminum Next frame. Not too shabby considering I was averaging a couple a week from the ditches and curbsides.
