One-footed commute

Two miles into my 10 mile commute my right pedal started to feel strange. Then strange turned into wobbly. After another few hundred meters or so I was into serious uh-oh territory as I could see the gap between the pedal and the crank-arm widen. Te pedal came clean off a few minutes later. Stripped threads on the crank-arm. My commute is on a path with no exits to roads for a long ways, so I was looking at a long walk to work. But with a gentle incline down most of the way and a good left foot with a clipless attachment, I figured I might as well try riding one-footed. Tricky, slow, and downright scary leaning over for the downtube shifter, but I made it without going down. Sure makes you appreciate bipedalism.
