I have a nice camera, but when I take high resolution pictures for myself, I find that I have to compress them to death to get down to the limit to put them on a posting. Then they look lousy. What resolution are you starting with?
I guess that if I go to low res on the camera when I take the pix it will look better on a posting. ?? Or is there some way to exceed the file size? I don't want to post huge pictures. Just good enough quality, not huge files. ??

Or just compress like you said. Remember, you can also diddle with the color count.
